Buddhist Pilgrimage Tour

This is the tour of three different parts of the Jammu and Kashmir. The Landscape are completely different from one each. You will visit most ancient monasteries during the tour. Zanskar towards each other along the northern flank of the Great Himalaya, meet in the broad plain of Padam. Virtually untouched by the winds of change and modernization till then, Zanskar is now a favourite destination for trekkers. Zanskar is also known as a land of religion and has the greatest concentration of gompas in Ladakh, outside the Indus valley.

Day 1 : Arrive Delhi

Meet and transfer to the hotel. Overnight at hotel.

Day 2 : Delhi/Lucknow/Balrampur

Morning : transfer to the airport to board flight for Lucknow. Arrive Lucknow and drive to Balrampur, enroute visit Sravasti site of the Great Miracle performed by Buddha. Overnight stay.

Day 3 : Balrampur/Lumbini/Gorakhpur

Morning : drive for Lumbini, Arrive Lumbini and cover city tour of Ashoka Stupa, Ruins of Lumbini & the Birth Place of LORD BUDDHA. Afternoon : drive for Gorakhpur. Arrive and check into the hotel. Evening Sight-seeing of Gorakhpur. Overnight stay.

Day 4 : Gorakhpur/Varanasi

Morning drive for Varanasi enroute sight-seeing of Sarnath where Lord Buddha preached his first Sermon. Arrive Varanasi, check into the hotel. Overnight stay.

Day 5 : Varanasi/Bodhgaya

Early morning : excursion on the Holy River Ganges by boat cruise followed the city tour of Varanasi. Afternoon : drive for Bodhgaya, arrive Bodhgaya. Overnight stay.

Day 6 : Bodhgaya-Nalanda-Rajgir

Morning : proceed for the sight-seeing of Bodhgaya covering Madhbodhi Temple, Bodhi Tree, Tibetian Monastery and then drive for Rajgir enroute Nalanda. Sight-seeing of Nalanda to view the Great Stupa and Archaeological Museum. Evening drive to Rajgir. On arrival Rajgir check into hotel. Overnight stay.

Day 7 : Rajgir-Patna

Morning : Sight Seeing of Rajgir visit the Ajatashatru's Fort afternoon proceed for Patna. Evening on arrival in Patna check into hotel. Overnight stay.

Day 8 : Patna-Calcutta

Morning Sight Seeing of Patna visit Goal Ghar, Stupa of Buddha. Afternoon transfer to airport to board flight for Calcutta. On arrival check into the hotel. Overnight stay.

Day 9 : Calcutta

Full day city tour Covering Museum, Kali Mandir, Ganges & old city. Evening transfer to the airport to board in the flight for next destination.

Ancient Monasteries Vacation

Day 01 : Srinagar

On arrival at Srinagar airport. Our representative will meet you and escort you to Houseboat. Afternoon Shikara ride on Dal lake visiting interesting places around the Lake. Overnight at Houseboat.

Day 02 : Srinagar

Morning half day tour of world famous Mughal gardens visiting Nishat (The Garden of Pleasure) built by Asaf Jah in 1636 AD and Shamilar Bagh (Abode of Love) built by Jehangir for his beloved Nur Jahan in 1619 AD. Afternoon Visit Srinagar Old city Jamia Masjid, Shah Hamdan mosque, Srinagar Museum and enjoy the walking through the narrow bazar of the city. Overnight at Houseboat.

Day 03 : Srinagar - Kargil (205 Kms)

Full day drive to Kargil. After Sonmarg you start steep ascending most rough road and wet Zojila pass 3527 Mtrs known as (Gateway of Ladakh) continue drive towards Drass second coldest place in the world here we stop for tea and passport check. Another two and half hours drive will take us Kargil. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 04 : Kargil - Rangdom (135 Kms)

After Kargil drive towards Zanskar valley on the way see Panikar and Parkachan villages view of Nun & Kun peaks are seen.. Arrive Rangdom in the evening . Overnight in Tents.

Day 05 : Rangdom - Padam (150 Kms)

After short drive, we stop at Rangdom Gompa and visit the Gompa Continue drive to Padam which is the Capital of Zanskar valley on the way cross Pensila pass 4401 Mtrs and some ancient Buddhist villages. After crossing Tungri bridge visit Sunni Gompa finally we reach Padam in the late afternoon. Overnight in Tents.

Day 06 : Padam

Day to visit Pipitong, Thonde Gompa and Zangla 3450 Mtrs this is the most beautiful village with ancient Zangla Gompa and you may get chance to visit Queen's house at Zangla. On the way return visit Karsha Gompa which is one of the oldest Monastery. Overnight in Tents.

Day 07 : Padam - Bardan Gompa (7/8 Hrs. trek)

Full day trek to Bardan Gompa on the way back visit Padam market and Padam Gompa. Overnight in Tents.

Day 08 : Padam - Kargil (285 Kms)

Full day drive to Kargil and in the evening we reach Kargil. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 09 : Kargil - Uletokpo (153 Kms)

Full day drive to Uletokpo and we have to cross highest pass on Srinagar leh route Fotula 13749 Fts. On the way visit Mulbek and Lamayuru monastery one of the oldest Monastery in Ladakh region. Continue drive to Uletokpo in the late afternoon one may visit to Rizong monastery by foot 5 Kms to and fro. Overnight in Tents.

Day 10 : Uletokpo - Leh (81 Kms)

After short drive we reach to Alchi Monastery and continue drive to Leh via some interesting Buddhist villages. Afternoon free for personal activities. Overnight at hotel.

Day 11 : Leh (ladakh)

Full day excursion to Shey, Thiksey and Hemis Monastery which is most popular Monastery in Ladakh region. return back to Hotel in the late afternoon. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 12 : Leh (ladakh)

Morning half day sightseeing tour of Spituk and Phyang monastery. Afternoon visit by foot to Kings palace, Tsemo Gompa, Leh Mosque, Leh Bazar and Shankar Gompa. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 13 : Leh (Ladakh)

Morning half day excursion to Stok Palace/Museum and on the way back visit Tibetan Refugee Camp. Afternoon day at leisure. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 14 : Leh

Transfer in time to the airport to connect onward destination flight.
